Whenever someone's fever is more than 3-4 days, the question arises in the patient's mind that he has not become malaria. Actually, the first symptom of malaria is fever, but it is not necessary that every fever is malaria. It can be identified by certain symptoms, and if symptoms match other diseases, malaria can be confirmed through tests.
5 main symptoms of malaria:
Long fever: Fever can last 10 days or more.
High temperature: Body temperature can reach 104 to 106 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cold and shivering: The patient feels cold and shivering in it.
Headache: There may also be frequent head pain in malaria.
The movement of fever: The fever sometimes descends, sometimes it comes again, that is, this fever leaves one day.
Test for confirmation of malaria:
The above symptoms can also occur of another disease, so some tests are necessary to confirm malaria:
Slide Examination: In this test, a sample of the patient's blood is taken and the glass slide is examined. This test is between 100 and 200 rupees.
Rapid Antigen Test: This test is used to immediately detect the symptoms of malaria. In this, a sample of the patient's blood is taken and it costs between 400 to 600 rupees.
How to spread malaria:
Malaria is caused by a protozoal infection, which is spread by mosquito bites. This infection is caused by the bacteria of plasmodium, which are produced in dirty and stalled water. When the mosquito contacts this water, this bacterium reaches the mosquito saliva. Then when a mosquito bites a person, this bacterium reaches the body of that person. Keep in mind that malaria does not spread directly from one person to another.
Malaria prevention measures:
Do not allow water to collect at home or around.
Change the cooler water every other day.
If there are pits around the house, fill them so that water does not collect.
Use mosquito nets yourself and ask other family members to sleep in mosquito nets.
Use Muscito Repalent to avoid mosquitoes.
Clean the water stored in the tray of pots daily.
When going out of the house, especially in the evening, wear the entire arm shirt and pants. Also, use mosquito -avoiding creams (on doctor's advice).
