New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday announced that the Afghanistan men’s cricket team will play a Test and three ODI series in India from June 6 to June 20. This tour will be important for Indian cricket, as Afghanistan will get a chance to play one Test and three ODI matches in India.


The BCCI media release informed that the one-off Test match between India and Afghanistan will be held in Chandigarh from June 6 to June 10. After this, the ODI series will start on June 14 in Dharamshala. The second ODI will be played on June 17 in Lucknow, and the final ODI will be held on June 20 in Chennai. The timing of all ODI matches has been set at 1:30 PM IST.


Before this, the Indian cricket team is performing brilliantly in the 2026 T20 World Cup and has made it to the semi-finals. India defeated West Indies by five wickets in the final match of the Super 8s at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, ensuring their passage to the semi-finals. In this match, Indian opener Sanju Samson scored unbeaten 97 runs on 50 balls and led the team to victory while chasing the target of 196 runs.


In this victory, Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah took 2 wickets for 36 runs in 4 overs, while Varun Chakraborty and Hardik Pandya bowled brilliantly at 1/40.
