Star all-rounder Deepti Sharma is amongst the 12 Indian players who will go under the hammer at The Hundred women’s auction on March 11-12.
While Deepti’s all-round ability is likely to generate a lot of interest, explosive wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh has managed to attract the highest reserve price (£50,000).
Last month, 17 Indians had signed up for the auction. However, Pratika Rawal, Vrinda Dinesh, Niki Prasad, Sajeevan Sajana and Deeya Yadav couldn’t make it to the longlist.
Indian stars Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues are already confirmed to take part in the tournament, having been pre-signed ahead of the auction. Mandhana will appear for Manchester Super Giants, while Rodrigues has been signed by Southern Brave.
India captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Mandhana, Deepti, Rodrigues, Richa and Shafali Verma are the six Indian players who have taken part in The Hundred women’s competition so far.
A total of 178 players will be up for sale at The Hundred women’s auction on March 11-12.
