New Delhi, Mar 15: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revealed an increase in the FASTag Annual Pass fee for the financial year 2026–27, raising it from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075. This new rate will take effect starting April 1, 2026.

In a statement, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways confirmed, “NHAI has announced the revision of the applicable fee for the FASTag Annual Pass from the current Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 for the financial year 2026–27.”

The fee adjustment aligns with the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, as stated by NHAI.

The FASTag Annual Pass has seen a surge in popularity among private vehicle owners, with over 5.6 million users currently utilizing the service.

This updated annual pass remains available for eligible non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag, allowing access to approximately 1,150 toll plazas on national highways and expressways throughout the country.

By opting for the FASTag Annual Pass, users can bypass the need for frequent recharges, as it requires a one-time payment that is valid for one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever occurs first.

This initiative is designed to enhance the convenience and cost-effectiveness of highway travel for regular commuters.

Once the payment is processed, the annual pass is activated on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle within a two-hour timeframe.

Users can easily purchase or renew their pass via the Rajmarg Yatra App or through the official NHAI website.

According to the statement, “The annual pass gets activated within two hours on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle after payment of the one-time fee through the Rajmarg Yatra App or the NHAI website.”

Launched on Independence Day, August 15, 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass has garnered a positive response from highway users.

NHAI noted that the increasing adoption of this pass highlights the convenience it provides to individuals who frequently travel on India's national highways.
