Shirva: Prajwal Shenoy, a resident of Shirva, returned home on March 30 after completing a solo journey of approximately 5,500 km to Nepal on his 26-year-old Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle.
Prajwal set off from Shirva on March 10. Traveling through Hubballi, Nanded, Nagpur, Madhya Pradesh, and Jabalpur, he visited the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh. From there, he crossed the Sonauli border to enter Nepal. Over the course of 10 days, he covered about 1,100 km within Nepal, visiting famous cities and landmarks, including the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu and the Muktinath Temple in Mustang. Throughout his journey, he displayed his love for his language by flying the Kannada flag on his bike.
In the last five years, Prajwal has traveled solo across 17 states, covering nearly 45,000 to 50,000 km. His latest achievement involves trekking to the Mustang region of Nepal from a rural area like Shirva on the same vintage bike, a feat recognized by Google accounts.
