Paresh Rawal is known for speaking his mind and in a recent interview, the veteran actor opened up about the rising negativity on social media. He didn’t hold back while describing online platforms, calling them a space where people often express thoughts without thinking.

Talking about the issue, Paresh Rawal explained that social media has become a place where people freely spread negativity and harsh opinions. He believes that users should act more responsibly and avoid targeting others. According to him, even if someone feels another person is wrong, it doesn’t give them the right to insult, criticise unfairly or damage their reputation. At the same time, he admitted that he himself is still trying to improve and follow these values more consistently.

The actor also shared that online negativity does affect him too at times. However, he tries to stay calm and maintain a certain level of discipline. He said that while he does feel angry occasionally, he avoids using abusive language. For him, social media can be a powerful tool if used positively and he encourages people to ignore negativity rather than engage with it.

Interestingly, his comments came shortly after he was involved in a social media controversy. Paresh Rawal reacted strongly to a post about the movie Dhurandhar. The situation began when a radio jockey shared a humorous and sarcastic video reviewing the film on X (formerly Twitter). She posted it with a lighthearted caption, calling it the “best review” of the movie.

The post quickly gained attention and Paresh Rawal responded sharply. He made a dismissive remark, questioning her role and suggesting that her job was insignificant. His comment didn’t go unnoticed.

The RJ quickly replied, correcting him and defending herself. She pointed out that she wasn’t a reporter and took a dig at him in return, suggesting that he was disconnected from his craft in real life.

Soon after, the exchange went viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. Many criticised Paresh Rawal for his tone, especially given his earlier comments about avoiding negativity. Some users mocked his response, while others expressed disappointment, saying that public figures often reveal their true personalities through such interactions despite maintaining a polished public image.

The incident has sparked a wider conversation online about how celebrities and users alike behave on social media and whether it’s time everyone practices what they preach.
