CBSE has implemented a new method for preparing results for students in Gulf countries without conducting examinations. Learn how the results will be compiled and what the governing rules are.
Due to unfavorable conditions in certain countries across West Asia, CBSE has cancelled the Class 12 Board examinations. Consequently, students' results will now be prepared without a written examination to ensure that their academic year is not wasted.
The Board has launched a dedicated online portal for schools, through which they will upload their students' marks in accordance with a prescribed procedure; access to this portal has been granted exclusively to the respective schools.
Schools are required to enter the marks for all students on the portal between April 8 and April 17, 2026, to ensure that the result preparation process is completed in a timely manner.
CBSE has clarified that once the data has been submitted, no subsequent modifications can be made to it; therefore, schools must exercise utmost caution while entering the marks.
Internal assessments will serve as the basis for preparing the results, incorporating marks obtained in quarterly, half-yearly, and pre-board examinations, as well as other previously conducted tests.
For subjects where examinations could not be conducted, students will be evaluated based on the records available with the school, ensuring that no student is disadvantaged.
The Board has issued directives to all schools to conduct the evaluation in a fair and transparent manner, thereby ensuring that every student receives an accurate result.
