A GoFundMe page has been set up to support a Texas family whose home was destroyed by a tornado on Thursday. The family was rescued by storm chaser Freddy McKinney, who had been tracking the tornado in Hawley. While live streaming the tornado's path, McKinney witnessed the twister tearing through County Road 458, completely destroying the family's home. He then saw the family running up the street. Among them was a woman carrying a child. McKinney immediately asked them to get into his vehicle and drove them to the nearest hospital.

On Friday, Bradye Lynn McQueen, a relative of the family, shared hospital photos, expressing gratitude towards McKinney for his heroic actions.

"Thank you Freddy for taking care of my cousin & her family. We are all so grateful you were out there. As an update for everyone, they are very banged up, but they have all been discharged & are spending the night at grandparents," she wrote.

Replying to the same, McKinney wrote, "I’ve never met a more courageous family in my life. Kasey and Wes you guys are absolutely rock stars. I’m so glad you guys are doing better. Thank you for sharing this update Bradye."

The family, identified as Wes and Kasey Lambert and their children Lane and Allie, is now seeking donations.

"Hi, my name is Bradye McQueen and I am helping coordinate the recovery for my cousin and her family. Wes & Kasey Lambert, and their kids Lane and Allie. They will need funds to help in the transition and rebuilding their lives and covering ER bills," the GoFundMe states.

The GoFundMe campaign amm $61,050 USD within hours toward its $75,000 goal.
